During the week of #GivingTuesday, The New Mexico Crisis and Access Line is giving back to the community and offering a free Mental Health First Aid course.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, and the widely recognized shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season. Many organizations use #GivingTuesday as a fundraising push, asking people in their communities to give to them in the form of monetary donations.

This year, the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line has partnered with the National Council for Behavioral Health, Mental Health First Aid USA, the New Mexico Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and the New Mexico Suicide Prevention Coalition to take a different approach – our focus on Giving Tuesday is giving back to communities.

Mental Health First Aid USA and the National Council for Behavioral Health are only offering this free training opportunity to the top Mental Health First Aid trainers, in the 5 states battling the highest suicide rates: New Mexico, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska.

Limited spaces are still available for anyone interested in attending the New Mexico training.
